ly to teach a lesson to the person who commits the crime, but also to instruct other people on how they should act to maintain order within society. It is important to keep in mind that the effectiveness of both can be distinguished based on equality in the administration of justice, the quality of relapse programs and other rehabilitative approaches, and the presence/absence of preventive policies and programs.
